Duane Storti files for adjudication in 2% case (Dec. 5, 2002)

From Duane Storti

 Subject: 2% adjudication

 Dear colleagues,

As some of you may be aware, I filed a petition for adjudication over the 2% merit increase that was denied to faculty members who passed their merit review last year.  The initial response from Interim President Huntsman asks that my petition be dismissed based on a claim that I do not have standing to request a remedy that involves other members of the faculty.

In case that request is granted, I am submitting a revised petition that covers only my own salary situation.  In case any of you would like to do likewise, I can make available to you the "Notice" and "Petition" documents that I will submit.

If you wish, you can then file on your own behalf by editing the name of the petitioner, replacing the self-introduction paragraph, inserting the name of your department near the beginning of the "Facts" section and sending your revised documents via e-mail to the office of the Secretary of the Faculty.  Note that we may be getting near the end of the filing window, but if you send the files by next Friday (Dec. 13), your filing should still be considered timely.

If you would like a copy of my Notice and Petition files, please send a reply message and I will forward them to you. (See attached below)
