Driving Information

Directions By Car

From the North: Take I-5 South, take Exit 169 to NE 45th St. Drive east along NE 45th and turn right at Memorial Way (17th Ave NE). Purchase parking pass at attendant’s booth and proceed to appropriate parking lot.

From the South: Take I-5 North, take Exit 169 to NE 45th St. Drive east along NE 45th and turn right at Memorial Way (17th Ave NE). Purchase parking pass at attendant’s booth and proceed to appropriate parking lot.

From the East: Take I-90 West towards Seattle. Take Exit 2C onto I-5 North. Take Exit 169 to NE 45th St. Drive east along NE 45th and turn right at Memorial Way (17th Ave NE). Purchase parking pass at attendant’s booth and proceed to appropriate parking lot.

Parking Information

Metered street parking is available, though limited on neighborhood streets between 8th Ave NE & University Way NE (“The Ave”), as well as between NE 41st St & NE 43rd St. There are a number of hourly and daily parking lots along NE 45th St. between I-5 and campus. On-Campus parking is available for a fee. Parking passes may be purchased day-of at the attendant’s booth at the Memorial Way entrance to campus. Parking is $11/day with pro-rated refunds depending the duration of the visit on campus. For more information, click here.

Buses that serve 15th Ave: 25 (from Downtown to Laurelhurst via U-District), 43 (from Downtown to U-District via Montlake), 44 (from Montlake to Ballad via U-District), 48 (from Columbia City to U-District), 49 (from Downtown to U-District via Capitol Hill), 70 (from Downtown to U-District), 133 (from Burien to U-District), 167 (from Renton to U-District), 197 (from Twin Lakes to U-District), 271 (from Bellevue to U-District)

Bus Directions from Airport to U-District: Follow signs to public transportation at the far end of the baggage claim. Take the Bus 194 (Express) or 174 (Local) to Downtown Switch to the 43 or 49 at 4th Ave and Pike St. OR Switch to 71 at 4th Ave & Jackson St Exit bus at Campus Parkway and Brooklyn Ave., or see map above for other stops

Bus Directions from Amtrak Station to U-District: Walk from train station to underground bus terminal at 5th Ave and S Jackson Take the Bus 73 to Cowen Park/Jackson Park Exit bus at Campus Parkway and Brooklyn Ave.
