Any clinical encounter that can be done "in person" can be done effectively by videoconference. There are some unique techniques to being a successful telespecialist, just as every other clinical setting has unique features. Bedside consultation differs a bit from an office visit, just as a school or home consultation does. Videoconsultation is just one more setting in which clinical encounters occur.
