Schedule: M-F, 9:00pm-5:00pm
Dates: Installation May 3 – 20, 2021, Deinstallation June 12 & 14, 2021

The Western Gallery is seeking an Exhibition Preparator for the 2021 BFA graduation exhibition.

Duties include:
• Preparing the 4,500 square feet exhibition space for installation in accordance with the curator’s design/layout. Work includes but is not limited to moving and setting up walls, plastering and spackling as needed, preparing pedestals, and painting.
• Installing the exhibition in cooperation with this year’s 13 BFA artists. Some of the works involve projectors or other digital media that the preparator needs to be able to install and make ready for correct function.
• Installation will start on May 10 and needs to be completed by May 20, when the exhibition opens.
• Deinstalling the exhibition from June 12-14.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
• Experience installing contemporary art exhibitions
• Experience with digital media
• Experience with project management, planning, problem solving
• Organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Compensation:
$23/hr
