City of Auburn Parks seeks Special Projects Arts Intern
The City of Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department seeks a Special Projects Arts Intern to assist primarily in the digitizing and organization of public art collection, art grants, and art programming records and files. The selected intern would work directly with the Arts Coordinator.
Primary Duties
- Meet and discuss overall project plan with Arts Coordinator
- Carefully review, scan, and digitally save all necessary documents and records according to naming system
- When needed, recycle or shred already scanned and saved documents
- Report progress during project to Arts Coordinator
- Work with existing digital files to rename and structure according to new naming system
- Add/change information in Excel spreadsheets to edit public art information/records as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Required experience or qualifications:
- Must be very detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to take direction and also work independently
- Must have a working knowledge of how to use Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel
- Must be a clear and professional communicator via email or phone
- Must be timely and reliable for scheduled work times
Additional Information
Expectations:
- The Special Projects Art Intern would be expected to work between 4-8 hours per week, onsite at the Auburn Community & Event Center
- The duration of the Internship could be for as little as two months and as long as six months (or upon completion of project)
