3D Ceramic Printing Internship

Looking for an interesting research opportunity in ceramic 3D printing?
Timea Tihanyi (UW Interdisciplinary Visual Arts Instructor) is looking for one more student to join her research team this quarter. Here the details:
This quarter’s project is a sensing ceramic object that detects heartbeat and offers tactile feedback using the beat as a signal.
We are going to be using CAD, ceramic 3D printing, sensors and Arduino. Interns need experience in one or more of the following areas: CAD (Rhinoceros, Fusion360 or Solidworks), Arduino, sensors (mics, vibration, gyroscope, or touch), circuitry, coding, ceramics, sculpture, behavioral science, biofeedback and mindfulness therapy.
This is a collaborative project with various exciting and experimental tasks.

The internship starts next week. Interviews are on Sept. 29th and 30th.
Thank you!
