AMTAS Spring 2007 Meeting

Dates:
Thursday, April 12, 2007
Time:
8:30am - 4:30pm
Location:
University of Washington, HUB 310

AMTAS’ semiannual meeting of academic and industry partners attracted more than 80 attendees.

The meeting included:

  • a Center activities report
  • AMTAS’ educational offerings
  • breakouts on current AMTAS research
  • presentations and breakouts on future research areas

For the breakout sessions devoted to current AMTAS research, attendees participated in the breakout session of their choice. Attendees were asked to review summaries related to the session they will attend prior to the meeting. These summaries are available at http://depts.washington.edu/amtas/events/amtas_07spring/PI_presentations.html.

Each breakout session began with a brief (5–10 min) summary presentation by AMTAS PIs, followed by a detailed give-and-take discussion intended to clarify the results, significance, and practical implications of each study, and to identify future needs and next steps.
