Intellectual Property
Intellectual property agreements can be developed between AMTAS industry partners and academic members. The documents below were provided by the University of Washington, however, UW policies do not differ substantially from those of other U.S. colleges/universities.
Documents
"A Brief Guide to Intellectual Property in a University Context" is a 4-page document that summarizes UW policies on IP agreements.
"Research Agreement" (4 pages) and "Research and Technology Development Agreement [Company] and University of Washington" (8 pages) are two sample agreements that have been used by the UW in the past. Both of these agreements are merely examples; customized agreements are often developed.
