I WILL be accepting new graduate students in 2026-27 application cycle (to begin graduate school in Fall 2027) as a primary advisor. In addition, I am open to serving as a secondary advisor to students who work primarily with another faculty member.
Sometimes applicants hear that it is a good idea to contact professors before applying to work with them. While some professors like you to do this, I prefer to wait until all applications have been submitted and she has had a chance to read them before speaking or e-mailing with applicants. There is no need to contact me in advance, and contacting me (or not contacting me) will not affect your application one way or another. Once the admissions committee and I have reviewed the applications, the top candidates will be contacted and invited to interview.
The research page and recent publications page on the lab’s website will give you a sense of the research topics that the lab studies. In addition, the UW Psychology Department website provides information about the department’s application process.
