• Develop an effective syphilis vaccine that provides protection against Treponema pallidum subspecies pallidum infection
• Enhance understanding of the immune correlates that provide protection against syphilis; and
• Provide scientific and leadership support for three inter-related Research Projects and Developmental Research Project awards for new investigators
