Low Impact Development is an approach to both planning and design aspects of development that attempts to maintain or enhance the predevelopment hydrologic regime of a given watershed (Low Impact Development Center 2000). Numerous individual technologies are combined to control the amount of stormwater runoff and to improve stormwater quality.
