Wind energy, a form of
kinetic energy, comes from the movement of large masses of air resulting
primarily from the earth's rotation and uneven heating of the earth
and atmosphere by the sun. This rotational energy can be used to operate
a mechanical device, such as a water pump, or to produce electricity
by means of a generator. |
