Welcome to the Primary Health Care Gender-Based Violence Training

This training will help you as clinicians to develop appropriate competencies and skills for identifying clients who are survivors of or affected by gender-based violence (GBV) and addressing their immediate health needs. You will learn methods for discussing GBV sensitively and good communication skills. This training will also cover information for providing appropriate referrals.

There are 5 modules in the Primary Health Care Gender-Based Violence training. Module 1 provides an overview of gender-based violence. Module 2 includes effective communication strategies for working with survivors of GBV. In Module 3, you’ll learn how to identify and assess the needs of GBV survivors. Module 4 covers various interventions for survivors. Finally, in Module 5 you’ll learn about referral pathways.
