Alex Goldstein

Alex is a PhD student in the Molecular Medicine and Mechanisms of Disease (M3D) program. He previously earned his M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from UW in 2020 and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from West Point in 2013. His research interests include tissue engineering, genetic cardiomyopathies, and disease modeling with iPSCs. His current work involves developing engineered heart tissues that can recreate the fibrotic remodeling seen in Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
