Tessa Concepcion

Tessa Concepcion holds a PhD in Global Health Implementation Science from the University of Washington and an MS in Global Health from Duke University. Her research centers on designing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based interventions to support health and quality of life of women and children in low-resource, high-need settings. Her doctoral work examined early implementation factors for integrating long-acting PrEP into antenatal care in Kenya. Dr. Concepcion previously led a national study on the burden of pediatric surgical conditions in Somaliland and has expertise in mixed methods research, perinatal mental health, mental health systems analysis, and intervention delivery. Currently, Tessa is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and works part-time to support Global WACh studies.
