Billy Ogwel

Billy Ogwel is an experienced Data Analyst/Manager having worked in various data analyst/manager roles within the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) for the last 11 years. He is currently the site data manager for the Enterics for Global Health (EFGH) Shigella surveillance study‘s Kenya Site. He possess a BSc in Computer science from Egerton University and an MSc in Health Informatics from Rongo University. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Health Information Systems from the University of South Africa. He is a UW EFGH Rising Star Awardee studying, “Machine learning predictive models for longer duration diarrhea among children <5 years using clinical and socio-economic data in Kenya.”
