Local Media Covers First Study of Alcohol Treatment that Doesn’t Require Sobriety
We recently published findings from our study on a combined medication (extended-release naltrexone) and harm-reduction alcohol treatment that doesn’t require sobriety. Received a Grant from NIH
In October of 2013, we at the Harm Reduction Research and Treatment lab kicked off our first 5-year R01 grant to test harm reduction counseling and extended-release naltrexone to support alcohol harm reduction and quality of life among homeless people with alcohol dependence. We can’t wait to be inspired again by the community we are privileged to know and worth with!

Inspired by the LAMP Community of LA!
It’s not often that a person can say that their job is about supporting people in making their dreams come true. Here at the HaRRT lab, we are so luck!!! In one of our NIH grant studies led by Seema Clifasefi, we are figuring out what people want and need out of housing and helping make that happen.
It is the most fun work I have ever been involved with!
