Ewerton Cousin, PhD, is a postdoctoral scholar at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at University of Washington (IHME-UW), working on the neglected tropical diseases team on the Global Burden of Disease Study. Before joining the IHME-UW, Ewerton completed his PhD in Epidemiology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where his research focused on non-communicable diseases, mainly diabetes and its risk factors.
