I believe if you can, recycling will always be better than just sending trash to a landfill. Since all the trash in landfills is sitting under years worth, or even decades worth of other trash. Most of it probably won't even decompose since there won't be any light or water to break down the items. So if something can go and be made into a new material, and me put into another item. That will cut down on the amount of disposable products being used, and help the environment.

I agree, recycling is always better than sending it to a landfill. Even if recyclables end up in a landfill like they sometimes sadly do, there still was a chance of it being properly recycled. Also any recyclables that end up being recycled is a positive thing and helps the enviornment.

Please pardon my cynicism, but one issue with most standard recycling is that eventually the recycled objects wind up in a landfill anyways. The best instances of recycling are when used in un-removable objects, like buildings.
