It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Plastic
Plastic will continue to have negative effects on our environment. Take plastic debris for example. Plastic debris is laced with these chemicals that are often inhaled by our marine animals. Since our marine animals are inhaling this, this can poison or injure them. Also, floating plastic waste can be a problem as well. The reasoning for this is that this waste can survive for "thousands of years" which can spread diseases throughout the oceans. This also disrupts the underwater habitats as well. The plastic buried deep underwater contributes to this factor as well. It filters harmful chemicals to get into the groundwater. Overall plastic just has a real negative effect on our environment in general and on our marine animals.
