All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.
Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?
Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!
Now It's Time for Action >
Ban plastic !
Nowadays, we have to stop using plastic. For my part, I live on an amazing island, with many sea animals, so we must protect them from all the dangers of pollution. Obviously, plastic is a big problem, we have to reduce the use of plastic as much as possible. Thus, it can be replaced by cardboard to prevent them from suffocating.
honestly I don't think we could ban plastic. It's everywhere, we use it more than we know we are using it.
I've read somewhere that there's plastic is in your shampoo, towels and detergent. (not kidding)
Yes we cant really ban plastic since it is out everywhere but we could at least try to reduce it and have a limit to it. We could do that in certain ways just we need to spread awarness it how to do it.

We cannot really ban plastic, but we can reduce the use of plastic.
About 300 million tonnes of plastic waste are made by human beings every single year. This shows that we can not put a full ban on plastic since people use it every single day. We use it for our transportation, electronics, technology, packaging, construction, etc. If we did ban plastic then a lot of these would not be able to be produced. We can add a limit on the number of plastic products used in packaging, a limit on plastic bags a store can give, and we could find other sustainable materials to replace plastic. But, banning plastic bags and bottles could help the Earth more.
I agree to the fact that we cannot ban plastic but that doesn't mean we can't replace plastic with other reusable or recyclible materials such as wood ,metal and paper .I have noticed that some fast-food companies in my city have replaced the plastic straws with paper ones.I would like to know what changes your local stores or shops have made?
Banning plastic is a very good idea, but it is not very realistic. Too many people rely on the manufacturing of plastic for everyday products because it is very useful and can be made in to almost anything. Plastic still has a huge impact on the planet and all the different species that get caught up in it though, so being able to reduce our usage of it can make a difference, ban or no ban.
Indeed, plastic, which is human waste, affects other species negatively. We need people to realize that we do not own this planet, nor do we live on it alone. There are millions of other species that we share this planet with. Plastic is one of many other ways that we hurt other organisms and our planet. We need to find a solution soon to stop the destruction of this planet.
I do agree with this statement because not only are we being selfish by dumping all of our trash into the ocean, but we are also harming ourselves as this leads to a dirtier environment for us to live in, it really is time to take action.
