What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?
925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Food
Be grateful for whatever food is given to you, may it be from the School Lunch Program or elsewhere.
I agree, so many people are starving in other places and the food that is being wasted doesn't help the environment in any way. Additionally, rotting food in landfills releases methane, creating an even more powerful greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.
I agree, people around the world are suffering from having empty stomach’s. We should respect and be grateful for having food everyday. When we eat food always finish it. It is the best thing we can do to help and prevent food waste.
I totally admit this is 100% true. Always be thankful for what you have, because we cannot just waste the food but to provide it to hunger. God Bless!!
I agree, many people around the world have starved of hunger and if they see anything, they would want to eat it. For us, maybe it is okay do waste food becuase we can get food all the time, but for the people who don't get food, and you give them food, they will thank you very much and finish it. Food is like their dream. So, we have to be grateful for whatever food that is given to us, even if it is not delicious.
