Food & Hunger

What did you learn about dietary choices from using the footprint calculator? Now imagine that you could translate what you learned into an effective societal policy on food- what would it be? And how would this policy effect the need to alleviate world hunger?

925 million people on earth do not have enough to eat according to the FAO [Food and Agricultural Organization]. That's almost 1 in 7 inhabitants of our planet!

Reducing Starvation Rates

What can we do to decrease starvation rates?

triniti

As widely known the starvation rates all around the world are shockingly high. There are many ways that we all as a community can help take action to reduce these high rates. First step is to make sure we do not over buy food, over buying food leaves room for food to go bad, be wasted and not used in many homes. We can all do out part in making sure that our community is fed by donating food and if many of us do this all around the world it decreases starvation rates.
