Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

It's time for action

Otis Crowder

Drastic action needs to be taken quickly in order to combat climate change, and widespread sacrifices of lifestyle need to be made. As it seems to be turning out, this burden, as well of those of rapid and useful innovation to find solutions to global warming, are falling on the current younger generations to bear. It is the duty of every person with the ability to reduce, reuse, and recycle to do so, to adopt composting, to turn off lights and sinks when they aren’t being used, and to buy electric vehicles. If these standards aren’t met, it could soon be our duty to eat only vegetables and insects, and to deny themselves international travel. These are quotas that I am willing to meet for the sake of our planet, but still not a situation I want to see humanity face.
