Food and Hunger Around the World

Sali.A

According to this website, there are 925 million people on the planet that experience hunger. The food we eat and how much we waste is also an important point to focus on. Yemen is the country that is affected the most in the world, with an index of 45.1. Considering that the US wastes 218 billion dollars of food each year, ending food hunger would be very easy if the entire world would just work together to stop it. Because of Covid-19, hunger grew 150 million people around the world. Although there are many organizations that donate and help the hungry, it is not enough to fix a global problem like this one. That also includes you. You are a part of this world, Wasting less food at school or home, eating only what you need, and buying only what you need is a way to help the world with this problem. Although it might seem like it is a very small action, it does have a big effect.
