Reusing and repurposing objects helps the environment. For example, if you shop for new items and do not thrift, your carbon footprint will increase. Fossil fuel, which is the main source of greenhouse gases(these end up causing climate change), is used to make those new items. Avoiding buying those items means that less fossil fuel is used to supply the want of those items. Donating to thrift stores is a good way to reuse without having to reuse it. Another reason how this helps the environment is that by reusing your previous items, you’re using fewer resources. Those resources could be used for helpful purposes.
