Now It's Time for Action!

All of you have calculated your emissions and you have surely discovered the unexpectedly high impact of some of your behaviors (eating meat, flying to a sunny destination, etc.) on your total footprints.

Are there any behaviors that you are really willing to change or to improve for the sake of the environment? What challenges do you encounter or think you will encounter while trying to change these things? What help, support, and insights from others would make your life easier with these new behaviors?

Let's discuss these issues and make our pledges here!

I live in a city where a lot of the extracurriculars, school and other places I go to are within walking distance. I must admit that I often drive to a lot of places out of convenience or when I think I'm going to be late. I think that if I leave my home a little early and use public transit, I could use my car less. That would mean I could reduce my carbon foot print for transportation.

I agree! i live in a  rural  town out in Maine, and as a town i really think they could do better about public transport because i end up having to drive everywhere. But i also think i can do better about holding myself responsible for when i can walk instead of being lazy and hoping in the car. Because when people start walking more, not only will it be better for your body, it will be better for the planet.
