Repurposing
I recently read an article about a ingenious idea to help save energy on hog farms by repurposing the hogs waste. This farm, instead of polluting the area like many others, has agreed to be a test farm and now can power five of their nine barns and a piece of equipment called a biodigester that repurposed hog waste.
Our main concern today should be trying to preserve and save our planet by finding new ways to reuse and recycle things around us. Even if we can't do big things like find new ways to power whole farms, we can do little things everyday that can be as simple as reusing our plastic water bottles or reusing our shopping bags when we check out at the grocery store. Little things we can do everyday to repurpose the things around us to help our planet thrive.
