It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Suquamish clean up
In my community we are trying to help reduce are communities carbon footprint. We are recycling and conserving energy in are homes and public buildings as well.
frick yeah we are!
I really like how your entire community is able to come together to and move forward together in order to reduce your carbon footprint. However, based on past experiences (where people get lazy) - I suggest enforcing this movement by placing recycle bins around the neighborhood and continuously encouraging people to conserve energy by always turning off the lights and doing the simple task of taking shorter, more energy efficient showers. Which personally, is not hard at all for I myself just turn off the water when I am putting on shampoo and such.
I like that you guys are working together to become more environment friendly
Chaisabelle,
That is awesome that your hole community can come together and try to make a difference. I think if my school alone would advertise recycling people would be more prone to do so. I know when there is a trash can and a recycling box sitting next to each other I am better at recycling, people are lazy and when things are right in our faces we sometimes tend to do better. If the school alone would add a recycling box next to every trash on campus I think we could make a difference. How is your community recycling and conversing energy ?

My science teacher is having my class do a recycling project. We are going to put out recycling boxes to try and help
