I live a city that is filled with kids who play multiple sports. Living in this community, I have found that once sports equipment is grown out of, it is thrown away or it sits in a closet or garage for years just taking up space. I have come up with an idea to help prevent this problem. Communities could start a recycling and reusing type program with old sports equipment. Instead of having to go out and constantly buying new equipment, people could go to baskets or tables set up at rec centers or other common places in cities or towns and they could take equipment no longer need by other families that are left at these stations. This could also help less privileged families get sports equipment for their kids that is affordable.
