It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reuse and Recycle your plastic bottles
Every year 60 million plastic bottles are thrown into landfills. Plastic bottles can take anywhere from 450 to 1000 years to biodegrade or decompose depending on their size . According to postconsumers.com "Bottles made with Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET or PETE) will never biodegrade." By recycling your plastic bottles you can help to reduce your carbon footprint. My family always keeps a bin under a cabinet in our kitchen where we place our plastic bottles in after we use them. This also includes milk jugs and plastic wrapping from items.
Another way to reduce your carbon footprint is to reuse your plastic bottles. There are a lot of different things that you can make with plastic bottle like a bird feeder or a colorful supply organizer.
