It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reusable Water Bottles
Every year in the United States, 29 million plastic water bottles are used. However, only 13 percent of these are recycled. I personally drink about 2 bottles per day, which is equal to 15 bottles a week. The yearly total is huge-780 bottles! To make every bottle, you need one fourth the volume of the bottle of oil. When the oil is used, it emits carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Since only 13 percent of the bottles are recycled, the rest is put into landfills. Last year in America, approximately 2 million tons of water bottles was put into landfills! Imagine the effects if everyone used a reusable water bottle. There would be less pollution in the air as well as the ground. To reduce my carbon footprint, I will drink only out of reusable water bottles for a month.
