It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

What Can Be Reused and How?
There are many things in our culture that can be reused or re-purposed. They are often things we take for granted or things we don't even realize can be reused. First of all, cars can be easily reused. If you are getting a new, don't just send your old car to the junk yard, you can donate your car to a charitable organization. This will keep your car out of the junk yard, reducing waste, and the working parts of your old car can be re-purposed or even reused. You can even get a tax deduction for this. Another reusable thing is our cell phones. We all get new cell phones frequently, but what do we do with our old ones? Instead of throwing them away, you can donate them so that they can be reused by someone less fortunate or they can be taken apart so that their parts can be reused. This reduces a serious amount of waste in our society if we continuously re purpose or re function our used cell phones. A final thing that I think is one of the most important thing in our society today is the composting of food. Everyday I see people at lunch throw away lightly eaten or even untouched food. Food should be either composted or saved for later. I think that this is most prevalent in schools across the world as students do not know the importance of composting.
I think your ideas were great, maybe something you don't need just fit other people, we never know that. I think we should keep our old things and give them to someone who need them so that things will not be wasted. After all, many things we used are not degradable by nature, if we reused them, we can reduce garbage and landfill.
For this post I used the website: http://www.recyclingcenters.org/Top_50_ … _Reuse.php in order to support my data on what things can be recycled. This website has 50 items that we use in our daily lives that can easily be reused, recycled, or repurposed. It is truly a great resource.
