Obviously this won't apply to all of us, but there is a large number of people out there desperate for newspapers.  Many of them do not have access to the internet and this is the best or only way for them to get the news.  A lot of us look through a few pages (if that) and then toss the paper as we wait for the cartoons or sports of the next day.  If there other ways to get newspapers to people in need just a few days after its release, this would provide so many people with the information they need to possibly make career changing decisions.  It would also, of course, cut back on waste, which would be a huge plus.  Even though this type of paper can be recycled easily, there is a great demand for energy for this process and there is still tons of waste.  Another solution may also be to give newspaper to construction companies or painters, or other people who may need ways to keep surfaces clean.  Of course, this would take a lot of work, but it might create more jobs and reduce waste.
