The plastic bag pollution also called " The White Pollution“，the plastic will make much pollution to the environment. In http://www.buzzle.com/articles/environm … bags.html, scientist noticed that there is 3 main way that the plastic bag polluted the environment:
1. the plastic bag cannot dissolve when we bury it in to the earth, the way to destroy it, is to burn it, when we burn it, it will emit some polyethylene (PVE), this kind of chemical are toxic, the plants will been poisoned and dead.
2.The animal can't discriminate the food, when they eat the plastic bag, the animal can not dissolve the plastic bag, so it will stay in the throat and make it hard to breathe. About 100,000 animals, such as dolphins, turtles whales, penguins are killed every year due to these bags.
3. The plastic bag can stay a long time, it will stay here for 400 years to make it dissolve it, so it's hard to break it.
These are the 3 big reason that will pollute the environment, for us to have a better life, shouldn't we stop using plastic bag?

I completely agree on what you are stating and think if more people really knew what they were doing to our biosphere they would stop almost instantly. It would be a transition but if more people are aware of what they have done to wildlife and if everyone else makes it simpler to stop then it will be an easy transition.

I agree as well... Did you also know that...

Over 1 trillion plastic bags are used every year worldwide.

The  pollution caused by plastic bags is seventy percent more than paper
bags.

We use about 1 trillion plastic bags per year.

It is estimated that plastic bags add an extra $850 million in costs annually to
retailers in Australia.

Most humans use up to 300-700 plastic bags a year.

Even some states, such as Hawaii, have already banned the use of plastic bags.

Let's follow in Hawaii's footsteps to ban the use of plastic bags.
