I feel that flying has a massive effect on our environment. When calculating my carbon footprint, the largest contributor was plane travel. If we had a way to fly with electric power alone then we would greatly reduce all carbon emissions because airplanes require immense amounts of fuel that spews CO2 straight into the atmosphere. We could try to use solar power to energize  our planes, it would also help if we could build engines and propellers that required less energy but worked at equal effectiveness.
