It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

In the moment, one does not think of trash as being anything else, but trash. They simply throw it out and don't feel the need to worry about it again. This causes our landfill to overflow, which could be resolved if people considered resuing. This includes ideas such as carrying a reusable water bottle, using tupper wear instead of plastic bags and tinfoil, or even making something out of what they want to throw out.
I agree with your opinion Madison. According to the Town of Irondequoit, "Enormous amounts of energy are required to make products and materials worldwide. Energy is saved by not using products and materials when at all possible, or by reusing products in their current form." If we reused "trash," energy used to create materials will be reduced, and natural resources will be saved. There will be more resources to absorb CO2, which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions♻️➡️
I agree with both Madison Li and Keshawn. My family in particular doesn't use plastic water bottles because the plastic they are made out of is harmful to the Earth. This link: http://www.scientificamerican.com/artic … fantastic/ explains how detrimental plastic is to our planet. Instead of using plastic, we use reusable water bottles. If it weren't for these, each family member would be throwing away about 2 plastic water bottles per day and this can add up over the weeks and years if we are thinking more long term.
