Give up bottled water
Nearly 30 billion plastic water bottles are sold annually in the U.S with less than 20% of them being recycled (and even recycling them wastes unnecessary energy). Ironically, many bottled water companies use municipal water sources. yes, Tap water. Try to save resources and money by drinking from your own tap and using a reusable water bottle.
I agree. The water quality of most bottled water is usually exactly the same as purified tap water, so it seems doubly unnecessary to pay both a significant personal cost and a cost to the environment for something we can get sustainably and for free.
