It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Instead of simply placing items in the trash can or recycling bin, we should think, "can I reuse this? If so, do I foresee myself using this?" If so, wait until you have used it to its extent rather than getting a new one. I personally have a hard time with this and need to remember how big my carbon footprint is when I have something to throw away or recycle in order to keep this world we live in clean.
