It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Recycling and Reuse
I personally go through at least 8 bottles of water a day, and sometimes before I even consider recycling it I just throw it away. This effects the amount of trash and increases the amount of landfill which can then increase our carbon footprint. Instead of immediately throwing a plastic bottle away, I could refill the bottle again at a fountain and save plastic. I could even get a reusable water bottle that has an unlimited number of uses. We could recycle the plastic and even the paper label on the outside of the plastic bottle for other things. Another way we can reduce our carbon footprint is by reusing clothes. I know from experience that you can grow out of clothes very quickly and I never know what to do with the clothes I don't fit anymore. I have now come up with some uses for clothes I grow out of. We could hand it down to younger siblings. I personally know I wore a lot of my sisters clothes. We could also resell it to other people. We can even turn clothes into blankets to use in the winter to reduce the amount of carbon footprint to heat homes.
