Reuse polluting things

Too many times we waste paper, plastic bottles, plastic bags, etc. when we could reuse them in another case of needing. Too many plants are cutten down and too many plastic objects are polluting our environment "thanks" to our selfishness. Recycling is a (really) good idea too, but why not use them one more time if it is possible?
