It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Reuse
As we all know, recycling paper is something most people do, but maybe its time to step it up a notch. Instead of throwing away your old clothes, it's time to donate them to people that really need them. You could also make something out of your old clothes. I'm sure most people have watched DIY videos. They include making different looking clothes from your old clothes. There's a reason why this saying is going around 'reduce, reuse, recycle'.
I think that would be great if people began to donate their clothes and make new clothes out of old clothes. Another thing people can do to 'reduce, reuse, recycle' besides recycling paper would be to compost. Food scraps and yard waste currently make up 20 to 30 percent of what we throw away, and should be composted instead. Composting keeps these materials out of landfills, where they take up space and release methane, a potent greenhouse gas. It's all the little things that add up and with recycling paper, reusing old clothes, and composting, people will be helping out our planet a ton.
