It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

There are many different better ways to throw things away. For example, if you have a water bottle don't drop it on the ground or chuck it in the compost. Reuse it, go to a water fountain and fill up the bottle again. If you are going to throw the bottle away, throw it in the recycling. Even though recycling is a very small job, it is enormously helpful to our world and there is also no harm in reusing a bottle.
I agree. It really isn't too hard to just collect your bottles and cans. You even get a little bit of money for passing these in to the redemption center. Even if you don't have a reusable bottle at your dispense, you can still recycle these bottles once they are used. Then once you take the very small amount of time to redeem your bottles, there is no reason why you can't recycle your paper and cardboard etc. at the same time. It really isn't hard, I don't understand why people don't even try.
