It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

If we recycle things and them we can make more water bottles, but if you have old clothes you can make them into other things such as blankets shower curtains carpet and many more things. And from that we will be reusing things and not wasting money on stuff
