It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Your Impact on the Environment
Although it may seem like you have a very small or nonexistent impact on the world, even the smallest things like reducing your shower time or using containers instead of plastic bags can have a large effect on our world. There are so many ways a single person can help to create a more sustainable environment! Opting for a washable water bottle instead of a plastic one makes a big impact! According to https://utahrecycles.org/get-the-facts/ … s-plastic/ , using a reusable water bottle saves about 100 plastic bottles from being thrown away a year! Using containers instead of plastic bags has a similar affect. Rather than throwing away your plastic bags every time you use them, you can use washable containers instead. Reducing your shower time can help save water. Taking even a ten minute shower can use up to 80 galloons of water! http://www.greenlifestylechanges.com/ta … e-showers/ suggests taking five minute showers because then you only use about 40 gallons. These examples and countless others can really help in making our Earth more sustainable.
I also agree with the post above. There are many things we can do to save the environment. Now more than ever it is up to our generation to help save with this process. We have access to technology and other resources that can be used to help communicate our ideas to help our environment, These resources can also be used to look more closely at the environmental problems that are affecting our planet. Teenagers have the ability to come up with new ideas and become involve. The Guardian newspaper produced an article regarding teenager involvement with environmental issues.
