It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Recycle
Today right now there is 5.25 trillion pieces of trash floating in the ocean right now. Recycling is now needed just to preserve the future and not to save the present. Removing the trash from the ocean that is already there most likely will take many years and lots of money. And the 5.25 trillion pieces is just the plastic trash. All that plastic could have been repurposed but instead it pollutes the waters and kills the marine life. Ocean dumping is a serious problem that if not fixed could be even more detrimental than it already is. In the ocean right now there is an island of trash in the North Pacific ocean roughly the size of the entire state of Texas. That's roughly 270,000 square miles of just plastics, chemical sludge, and other debris. By recycling now we help save the future because right now we need to focus on saving the present. It's as easy as putting your plastic bottle in the blue bin. Although doing that once or twice doesn't really do anything but if everyone did that then that would seriously change the rate of plastic in garbage.
