Reuse & Repurpose

It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Share your ideas for extending the “lives” of the items that we buy and use, and their packaging as well!

To extended the lives of items we buy, we can simply change the daily way of life at home. One thing we can do is instead of using a plastic bag, we can use either paper bags or use reusable bags that you can buy at the store until they break. Also, instead of using plastic water bottles we can use water filters for tap water while also using reusable water bottles everyday. Another way is to donate the old clothes that you can fit anymore so it won't be wasted. These methods help reduce the amount of materials used to manufacture this items. Plastic itself takes an average of 450 years to degrade, we can reduce this by following these easy daily steps to decrease the plastic usage in the world.

I agree, reusing product is very beneficial for the environment. These methods are easy to do and I think it would definitely reduce the amount of materials and the production that could harm our environment. It could also help our landfills from piling up. Recycling and reusing would improve waste management and reduce the amount of pollution.

I agree that recycling and reusing materials can be very beneficial for the environment and also save money.  60 million plastic water bottles end up in landfill each year. If people bought reusable bottles that number would be significantly lower, therefore helping the environment and saving money.
