Reusing & Repurpose
Although recycling is very important and detrimental to our environment, there is still one other way to prevent even the healthiest way to waste on the planet. That way is simply to reuse the items that are able to be reused. Another definiton for reusing is to stop solid waste from being thrown into the landfill without it being used to its full potential. Reusing brings many benefits to many different parts of the earth. For example, the environmental benefits that come along with reusing come with reusing include the prevention of less energy, labor, and production of carbon throughout the earth. The US Environment Protection Agency has recently recognized waste reduction as a significant method of reducing the production of greenhouse gas emissions which is a large contributing factor to global warning. Some community benefits include reusing supplying food, clothing, building materials, business equipment, medical supplies and other items that are desperately needed. Economic benefits include less of a burden with the creation of products from virgin materials. Ad ditionally, it is cheaper to buy materials that are used rather than brand new. Along with reusing comes the recognition and acknowledgement of the growth among the nation by producing industries. There are many ways to reuse. These ways include taking the time to repair any item that may seem broken but could still be put to good use, refurbishing which includes taking parts of one item and using them to manufacture a new object.
