It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

If you have small children or are around them, reuse packaging as arts and crafts. Make something out of a shoebox. I use shoeboxes and sometimes cereal boxes (though not as often) as storage.
Recycle. Recycle recycle recycle. I think that everyone should have a recycle bin in their homes, it would make them more conscious and they would probably do it more.

I agree we should Reuse our recyclables to reduce our carbon footprint and to recycle the ones we cant reuse
