It's very tempting to throw things away or even drop them in a recycling bin when we are done with them. Is there a better way?

Recycling is an easy way to prevent too much CO2 from entering the atmosphere. According to http://www.stopwaste.org/recycling/busi … protection , "Save almost 4 tons of CO2 for every ton of corrugated cardboard boxes kept from entering the landfill." Therefore, doing something as simple as recycling can help the atmosphere. Many people don't think that recycling a cardboard box instead of throwing it away will make much of a difference to the environment, but every recycled box adds up. Recycle to help lower your carbon footprint.
I agree that many people need to reduce how much they waste. When people recycle, they reduce the amount of products that factories have to manufacture. This reduces the amount of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere, including carbon dioxide. Also, this means that there is less trash that is thrown away. According to https://www.letsdoitworld.org/about/ove … sh-facts/, about 1.3 billion tons of trash is generated per year. Every year, about 8 million tons of trash is thrown into the ocean, This can be harmful to marine life, and to humans, as we eat a very large amount of seafood. Trash can be very harmful to climate, the environment, and people. It is important to recycle.
